Very Berry Kefir Smoothie

This is a most delicious way to get probiotics into your digestive system with the added bonus of antioxidant rich berries and beneficial oil found in coconut.  Since kefir has protein in it this is an ideal breakfast lifter and nice for the warm tropical climates where a craving for liquid coolness even early in the morning is sort after.  This recipe makes two large glasses or 3 small ones.  For your coconut product requirement check out Pure Coco NZ or Coconutty UK

Very Berry Kefir Smoothie

Ingredients

2 cups of Kefir or probiotic yoghurt

1 - 1 1/2 cups Frozen berries like strawberries and blue berries (I don't like using blackberries due to the seeds but this is personal preference).

1 Tablespoon of coconut sugar, light tasting honey or maple if wish for a sweeter drink.

2 Tablespoons of coconut milk powder

Mixed Frozen Berries

Kefir

All into the blender

Method

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend for 2 minutes until smooth, pour into a two large glasses.

Variations; The fruit can be changed to mango, banana, melon, pineapple or any other fruit you desire.  I often freeze up pineapple and banana's if it is not being consumed quick enough.  I then add them frozen to my  smoothies.
