Weather Bomb hits New Zealand
For all you kiwi's out there, some shocking weather is hitting New Zealand at the moment and they might have to close the Auckland Harbour Bridge, winds might be getting up to 150km/h. On the Beaufort scale that is hurricane force! which is greater than 64 knots.
I remember being in plus 80 knots in the Bay of Biscay, with May Days going off around us. Not much cooking happened that day!.
Lower North Island, Hawkes bay and top of South Island are expected to get a real hammering. Ferries across Cook Strait have stopped running and the Iron Man race which is being held in Taupo has been changed to a half Iron Man which is starting on Sunday rather than on Saturday. Check it out at
