Pacific Voyagers
This great voyage of the Vaka Moana voyaging canoes, tracking there way over the great vast Pacific Ocean as there Pacific Ancestors once did. Using only the wind and currants to move these amazing canoes across great expanse of water using the stars to guide them.
These Vakas are making an epic journey, a voyage of environmental awareness which began in April 2011 from Auckland New Zealand, travelled to Tahiti, Marqueses, then up to Hawaii, over to San Francisco then down to San Diego. At present the fleet is in San Diego where they are commencing there voyage south on the 21st January 2012.
