Home-made Teriyaki sauce
Here are two recipes for Teriyaki sauce one is sweeter than the other. Especially handy when you haven't got a shop in close proximity and needing Teriyaki sauce, just make your own.
Home-made Teriyaki sauce
Ingredients1/2 cup of soy sauce
1/2 cup of mirin
2 Tablespoons of caster sugar
Method
Place all the above ingredients into a small saucepan, place on medium heat and bring to the boil stirring all the time. Reduce the heat and simmer for a few minutes. Remove from the heat and allow to cool.
The ratio of sake to sugar is 3 to 1. Adjust the amount of sugar, depending on your preference.

1 tablespoon of caster sugar
3 tablespoon dry white wine
3 tablespoon sark, rice wine or dry sherry
160ml or 8 tablespn dark soy sauce
