Classic Chocolate Fudge

Great served with coffee at the end of a meal, as crew energy treat, crumbled onto a iced chocolate cake or served as a component of another dessert.

Classic Chocolate Fudge

60g butter
2 cups sugar
½ cup milk
2 tablespoons cocoa
Chopped walnuts if desired toasted is extra nice, or almonds, brazil nuts chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Whiskey, baileys, cointreau or other alcohol if desired or honey


Boil first three ingredients together for 5 minutes
Add cocoa
Boil for 10 minutes
Take off stove
Add a few walnuts and vanilla essence if desired
Beat for a little and pour into well buttered square cake tin
Note: no need to beat to long I made with no walnuts was very nice. This fudge is a classic crack fudge beautiful melt in the mouth.
This is great to serve with coffee rather than chocolates and can be varied with different nuts and adding various flavours. Can crumb onto an iced chocolate cake too.
